Academics

With an emphasis on literacy, math, and real-world science, Lincoln-Erdman students build a strong foundation in the core curriculum. To enhance student learning, specialists in music, art, and physical education work with students weekly.

English Language Learner (ELL)

Transitional Bilingual Programs in the Sheboygan Area School District Elementary Schools use the first language of the English Language Learner (ELL) in instruction when possible but with rapid progression to all or most of the instruction in English.

Special Education

The Sheboygan Area School District provides special education services for students who have been identified through an Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) is a school-wide system that is developed by a school with the goal of teaching the behavioral expectations in all school settings.

Response to Intervention (RtI)

Response to Intervention (RTI) is a multi-tier approach to the early identification and support of students with learning and behavior needs. 

Interventionist

Our interventionist is a reading specialist who supports, supplements, and extends classroom teaching.

Speech & Language

The speech and language pathologist (SLP) works with students to improve voice, fluency, speech intelligibility, language, or overall functional and effective communication.

Block Scheduling

In preparation for middle school, fourth and fifth graders receive academic instruction from several teachers, instead of the traditional single teacher, all day. 

Youth-Tutoring-Youth

Youth-Tutoring-Youth is a program that provides high school students with an opportunity to give direct tutoring assistance to elementary classrooms under the guidance of a supervising and coordinating teacher.

Art

In art class, we focus on the Elements (and a few Principles) of Art- Line, Color, Shape, Space, Pattern, and Texture. 

Instrumental Lessons

Beginning band is open to all 5th-grade students. We offer instruction on flute, oboe, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone, and combined percussion.The strings program is open to 5th-grade students.

Music

In Vocal Music, not only do we concentrate on singing, but we are active learners in a variety of other activities, instruments, and components of music.

Physical Education

We strive to achieve a healthy fitness level by participating in “Lifetime” activities that promote health and well-being.
