With an emphasis on literacy, math, and real-world science, Grant School students build a strong foundation in the core curriculum. To enhance student learning, specialists in music, art, and physical education work with students weekly.


Students participating in an instrumental music program develop self-discipline through regular practice, teamwork and leadership skills while playing with peers, and self-confidence when playing for friends and family.

Early Literacy Intervention

The Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) program is an intense reading support group for first and second-grade students.

Junior Achievement

Through the Junior Achievement program, our students receive knowledge and skills in financial literacy, work readiness and business from volunteers in the local business community.


The primary goals of the Positive Behavior and Intervention Support (PBIS) Program are to increase positive and appropriate behavior, reduce ongoing patterns of problem behaviors and increase the likelihood of improved academic performance for all students.

Special Education

The Sheboygan Area School District provides special education services for students who have been identified through an Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Tail Waggin' Tutor

The Grant School Family has its very own therapy dog, Stevie, who visits Grant every week.

Youth-Tutoring-Youth (YTY)

Youth-Tutoring-Youth is a program that provides high school students with an opportunity to give direct tutoring assistance to elementary classrooms under the guidance of a supervising and coordinating teacher.
